St Mary's is committed to proclaiming the Good News to South Ruislip and beyond!
We are the church community for the parish of South Ruislip. As a Church of England parish church, we welcome people from all backgrounds. Everyone is invited to explore with us the life of Christian discipleship. The church is under the patronage of St Mary, who by her grace and prayers, points us to Jesus Christ, the Saviour.
The community at St Mary’s is committed to the catholic (universal) witness of the Church of England. We believe in the Christian faith as once delivered to the saints, a faith built on unchanging Truth in doctrine and practice. This catholicity connects those who worship at St Mary’s with the Church throughout all ages and throughout the whole world. In the modern era when Truth is discarded for novelty, natural law is replaced with moral relativism, and the dignity of human beings as children of God is traded away for consumerism, the uncompromising Truth of Jesus Christ is of vital importance. Standing firm for this catholic vision within the Church of England, St Mary’s is affiliated with The Society Under the Patronage of St Wilfrid and St Hilda and is a member of Forward in Faith. The parish church is within the Diocese of London, under the oversight of the Bishop of Fulham
Our Beliefs and Practices
Our Community
St Mary’s is a thriving community of diverse peoples. St Mary’s offers constructive activities and Christian discipleship for teenagers, engagement with faith for young children, and regular fellowship events for adults. At the centre of our community life is Jesus Christ’s invitation to share in the divine glory of His Resurrection and Ascension. Newcomers are always welcome to become part of St Mary’s community at whatever stage they are in their lives. See our weekly parish bulletin for news and updates on what is happening. Be sure to see our weekly worship times and join us in prayer, or stop by the church for a moment of quiet, personal prayer when St Mary’s is open during the day. All are very much welcome!
Our Mission
Wherever you are in your spiritual journey, you are welcome to experience the outpouring of God’s love through Christian fellowship, prayer, and sacraments. The Church exists for sinners – those who have fallen short of perfection – so that sinners can repent, amend their lives, and return to God. Indeed, through the ministry of the Church, God offers the forgiveness of sins that was obtained for us from the ultimate sacrifice for our sins – the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. If you are interested in learning more about the Christian faith, or you would like to commit or re-commit yourself to Christ, come to a Mass and speak with one of the clergy after Mass. The clergy are always available to meet with enquirers and they will be able to guide you through the right path for Christian discipleship.

Life at St Mary’s
Life at St Mary’s is about much more than just coming together on Sunday mornings! Although Mass on Sundays is the source and summit of our Christian life, the Mass nourishes us to have fellowship with one another, serve the less fortunate, and experience joy in God’s promise. At St Mary’s we regularly have parish feasts and commemorate special events. We also love to travel. As a parish church with strong links to the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham, we go on annual pilgrimage to the Shrine, as well as go on retreats to monasteries and historic religious houses. Life at St Mary’s is about living with God’s purpose every day!
